TRK @ Hopscotch 2011

The Hopscotch Music Festival has, in just two years, become the most important music event in North Carolina. Hundreds of musicians will soon descend upon Raleigh to share their art, and attendees will be treated to more live music in 72 hours than anyone really deserves. Its a real treat for us locals, and we're honored to be involved in the festival again this year. Here's a guide to seeing Trekky artists play at Hopscotch, as well as some recommendations of friends and allies that you won't want to miss. Get out yr calendars!

SATURDAY

The Blount Street Block Party

Our joint day party with our friends from Hometapes Records. Come out and enjoy free treats from Crumb, coffee from Joe Van Gogh and the premiere of canned Fat Tire Beer, on sale all day. Bounce back and forth between the two venues and see almost a dozen amazing bands. For our party we're happy to have a spread of old and new Trekky artists, including NC expatriate Daniel Hart (of The Physics of Meaning, St. Vincent, John Vanderslice, The Rosebuds). We'll also have a special non-Trekky guest, our friend Cat Martino (of Sufjan Stevens, Sharon Van Etten). This is all FREE! Schedules below:
